Dog Days of Summer

This Fourth of July weekend, I am staying with some friends of the family and my parents at a lake house on Cedar Creek Lake.

At this house, there are nine people and nine dogs....

I am about to pull my hair out! Last night I slept (and I use that term VERY lightly) on the sofa with my two dogs and then at some point in the middle of the night two more dogs joined the mix.....

If I never see another dog (other than my own) again, it will be to soon!

I SWORE I would not live in a house with three girls ever again......especially not a house with three girls and three dogs....been there, done that....it SUCKED!

However, albeit temporarily, I once again find myself in a seemingly similar situation....but this time...



Me and Sarah....technically she is the girlfriend of my roommate Tim who is in Alaska for the summer....but she is living in his room for the time being....with her dog Spencer.



When you get REALLY bored one sunny summer day....and the estrogen is flowing....in our house, the wigs fly.....

This summer is proving to be rather interesting....

The plan was NO school, but to work, pay off some stuff that gets neglected when my focus is on biology and not bills.

However.....sparing you the details....wait....when do I do that?

Ok....first my "school year" job that was supposed to end at the end of May got moved out to the middle of June....and then it was going to go to the end of June.....but that fell through.

So a week into June, I started looking for a summer job. That took about a week and I got a job as an "on-call" nannie. I told them BEFORE the interview that I couldn't work past August 15th (leaving for Alaska...and then school starts along with my school job). I was assured that was no problem....went to the interview and and was offered the job.

DAYS later I am told that they need someone who can work through the fall....so NO job.....so now here it is the end of June.....I STILL don't have a job and now I get to interview and say "Yes, I am the perfect candidate....since as soon as you finish training me, I WILL quit!"

AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

So now I have no job....no money.....and not even McDonalds would hire me....

College has REALLY paid off so far!

The plus side....I have an AMAZING tan...since sun bathing is all I can afford!
